The Psychiatric Clinic in Linköping offers psychiatric and addiction medicine specialist care.

We collaborate with other healthcare providers and community actors at both organizational levels and in individual cases. We have a close partnership with the psychiatric and addiction medicine research conducted at the university's CSAN.

We are now looking for someone who wants to work as a care assistant in inpatient care for our ward S81.

Job Description

The clinic has employees with various professions such as doctors, nurses, psychologists, care assistants, social workers, occupational therapists, dietitians, and medical administrators. The clinic consists of four inpatient wards S80, S81, S90, S91, an emergency unit, a detox unit, outpatient clinics, an addiction clinic, and MiniMaria, which caters to young people with alcohol and drug problems.

Ward S81 is a general psychiatric ward focused on affective disorders, anxiety problems, and personality disorders; other diagnostic groups may also occur. The ward also provides care for patients with eating disorders and self-harming behavior. We work individually tailored, recovery-oriented, and provide care based on a low-arousal approach.

We also provide care based on self-chosen admission (SI). This means that patients can directly contact care assistants on the ward to choose to admit themselves to prevent crises and self-harm. Admissions are managed entirely by care staff and do not involve contact with doctors. The concept is managed in collaboration between inpatient and outpatient care.

About You

We are now looking for someone who is a trained care assistant/nursing assistant and wants to work in psychiatry. We prefer that you have previous experience working in psychiatry/addiction care. Since you will be communicating with patients, relatives, and colleagues, it is important that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing.

We are looking for someone who is secure, works well with others, and can relate to others in a responsive and smooth way. You listen, communicate, and are solution-focused. As a person, you are calm, attentive, and accommodating in your approach and have an empathetic ability. You are stable and controlled in stressful situations. You contribute a positive attitude to the workgroup, have good judgment, and the ability to adapt to different situations. You can distinguish between the personal and professional and easily see opportunities in changes.
