Job Description

The Anesthesia and Intensive Care Clinic at Vrinnevisjukhuset is now seeking an anesthetist nurse for our central operating department. Here, over 100 employees work in teams around the patient, with both planned and emergency surgeries around the clock.

You will be an important part of maintaining our high quality in an operation where collaboration, competence, and commitment are at the center. We do not have explicit section work but want everyone to have broad competence and readiness to handle on-call work. After the introduction, you will take care of both emergency operations and planned surgeries.

During the summer period, we also staff the recovery department at the clinic, and you will be part of that staffing.

Work Group

Every day you will work with the patient in focus together with operating room nurses, nursing assistants, anesthesiologists, and surgeons. The workgroup is stable, and there is a wealth of experience within all professional categories. We expect you to be willing to contribute to making your colleagues better and therefore have high demands on treatment, communication, feedback, and teamwork.

We apply an individual introduction based on your prior knowledge and experience. You will receive a mentor and your own introduction plan based on block placements.

About You

You are a licensed specialist nurse in anesthesia or currently studying to become an anesthetist nurse (graduation in the spring semester of 2026).

As you work in constant dialogue with patients, relatives, colleagues, and other operations, it is a requirement that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language in speech and writing. We also view it positively if you master additional languages. You need an understanding of and experience with IT systems to perform daily nursing work. To thrive and fit in with us, your personal qualities are important.

We are looking for you who has an overview, takes responsibility for what you do, and acts based on what is best for the operation. You are good at planning and prioritizing, make quick and thoughtful decisions, and get things done. You have a high ability to collaborate with others, communicate in an open and attentive manner, and resolve any conflicts in a fair and constructive way. Even when there is a lot going on, you remain calm, focus on the right things, and adapt to the situation to contribute to a safe and stable care environment.
