HR and Communication

We are now looking for an engaged and driven HR specialist who wants to contribute to the development of Västervik Municipality as an attractive employer. Here at the HR and Communication unit, you will become part of a team that works towards the vision "Quality of Life Every Day" together with our 3,200 employees.

Your Responsibilities

As an HR specialist, you will work alongside your colleagues while having a specific operational responsibility for a department.

Together with the management within the department, you will work in a consultative and coaching role. As HR support, you will identify needs, plan, and implement initiatives in the personnel area. You will be an important expert support for managers.

The work is very varied and includes issues related to work environment, personnel matters, salary reviews, change processes, competence supply, labor law, and collaboration with trade unions.

You will work with your colleagues to develop the group-wide HR work, which includes strategy, routines, processes, and training. You will also work with our support line, HR Direct, which we staff together in the HR unit.

You are a crucial cog in our efforts to promote a unified employer policy.

Your Competence

You have a university degree in HR or another education combined with experience that the employer deems equivalent.
As the position requires you to produce written materials and documents of high quality or give presentations to groups, you need to have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
It is an advantage if you have previous work experience in a similar role and have worked broadly with HR tasks where you have guided other managers.
Previous experience working with a collaboration model towards trade unions is a merit.

In this role, you will work in a dynamic work environment where you need to be clear, driven, and efficient. You dare to challenge while balancing this with a supportive approach and humility. It is important for the position to be attentive, have very good communication skills, and a natural ability to build and maintain good relationships. Generally, you need to be confident in yourself and your profession and have a professional demeanor in all situations.

You are skilled at developing, planning, and prioritizing your work in a structured way to handle complex contexts and work solution-oriented. Just like the rest of us in the unit, you are a natural team player.

You are comfortable working digitally, enjoy working within different systems, and are curious about new technology.

For this position, you also need to have a B driver's license.
