JOB DESCRIPTION

In the role of business strategist, you will report to the CEO and be part of the management team to ensure that new business opportunities are identified and realized in a sustainable and profitable manner.

This is a central and strategic role where you work broadly to develop the company's operations in electricity networks, water & sewage, district heating, recycling & waste, and properties. You are responsible for driving and coordinating strategic initiatives that strengthen the company's long-term direction and contribute to sustainable development of our essential services. The role includes initiating, leading, and following up on larger projects that span multiple business areas while supporting the business managers with analysis, prioritization, and decision-making materials where extra strategic expertise or capacity is needed.

An important part of the assignment is to develop and manage pricing structures and models for the company's various services. You work closely with the finance function and the operations to ensure that the models are transparent, business-oriented, and comply with applicable regulations while contributing to a good customer experience and sustainable economic development. You also drive the development of processes, working methods, and internal structures to enhance efficiency and quality in the organization.

The role involves ongoing contacts with customers, partners, municipal actors, suppliers, and authorities. You represent Borgholm Energi in external contexts and build relationships that support the company's strategic goals. As a member of the management team, you actively contribute with strategic analyses, market monitoring, and proposals that strengthen the company's long-term position and development without having personnel responsibility, but with a clear mandate to drive issues of great importance for the whole.

QUALIFICATIONS

The business developer we are looking for has experience in:

• Relevant higher education in economics, engineering, business development, or a similar field
• At least 5 years of experience in business development, market analysis, and/or business strategy - preferably within the energy sector or related fields
• Documented experience in leading and coordinating complex business development projects
• Experience in procurement and business negotiations
• Very good ability to handle and concretize complex issues
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Good ability to express oneself in Swedish, both orally and in writing
• Good ability to communicate and build good relationships

Experience from the energy market, such as flexibility in electricity or heat, is also meritorious.
