At Mpya Finance, we have been given the great trust to recruit an accounting manager for the prestigious and market-leading company Liljeholmens Stearinfabrik in Oskarshamn. Liljeholmens Stearinfabrik was founded in 1839 and is the world's largest supplier of stearin candles. It is one of Sweden's oldest and longest-established companies and has supplied the Swedish royal court since 1893. Liljeholmens Stearinfabrik specializes in Swan-labeled candles and produces taper candles, block candles, church candles, and tealights made from 100% stearin.

We are looking for someone who, thanks to their experience, can ensure effective routines for accurate accounting and reporting and who is motivated to continuously develop and improve processes within the accounting area. The role offers great opportunities for both personal and professional development.

Main Responsibilities

As the accounting manager, you will have primary responsibility for the accounting for all legal entities within the group. You will work closely with the CFO and lead the daily work in the finance department together with two other competent colleagues. You will also collaborate closely with Anna, Site Manager in Oskarshamn.

• Responsibility for ongoing accounting
• Reconciliation of balance accounts
• Management of fixed asset register
• Preparation of monthly financial statements and monthly reporting
• Annual financial statements and annual reports
• Preparation of income tax returns
• Ensure internal control according to guidelines and policies
• Contact with authorities, auditors, and other external parties

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone with relevant post-secondary education and solid experience in accounting. You are independent in closing accounts and have a good understanding of accounting principles and reporting requirements according to K3 regulations. Furthermore, you keep yourself updated on current accounting issues and thrive in an environment where you can influence, improve, and build effective processes. You are interested in systems and have good communication skills in both Swedish and English.

As a person, you are independent, proactive, and unpretentious. You build trust through your competence and are described as a responsible and conscientious team player. You care about delivering high quality, have the ability to prioritize in your daily work, and have a forward-looking approach with the desire to always improve.
