Unit for Community Services

The Guardianship Authority is a municipal supervisory authority tasked with reviewing and following up on the work carried out by guardians, curators, and custodians on behalf of minors and principals. The work is governed by the Parental Code, the Custody Ordinance, and the Administrative Procedure Act. In Västervik, we are a small and dedicated team consisting of two caseworkers and one administrator. We work closely together and have a strong focus on quality, legal certainty, and good service.

Your Responsibilities

As a caseworker with us, you will handle cases related to guardianship, curatorship, and custody. You will review accounting documents and prepare investigations for the court.

Part of your work will also involve recruiting new representatives, supervising representatives, and organizing and conducting training for them.

Your responsibilities will also include business development and improvement work.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who has:

• A degree in law, social sciences, or economics
• Experience in administrative authority or case handling is an advantage
• Good ability to express yourself clearly in both speech and writing
• Interest in digital working methods and technical solutions

You are structured, meticulous, and have good judgment. You enjoy working independently but also in close collaboration with colleagues. You are confident in your professional role, have a humble attitude, and dare to be clear when needed.
