Description
The City Environment Administration has a comprehensive responsibility for the city's public spaces and overall accessibility.
We work to create accessible, attractive, and vibrant urban environments and natural areas. The administration owns and manages the tram network in Gothenburg. Approximately 900 people work in the administration.
The City Environment Administration is part of the urban development administrations in Gothenburg City. Together, we work to create conditions for a functioning infrastructure, quality housing and premises, an inviting public environment, and strive for the city to be sustainable from all perspectives.
Job Responsibilities
Do you want to influence the everyday life of Gothenburgers and be involved in driving development forward at the City Environment Administration? We are now looking for a committed and proactive planning leader to work in our area of operations, Waste Management and Winter Services. You will play a central role in ensuring effective and sustainable management of our waste services, as well as planning and implementing winter maintenance.
As a planning leader, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and following up on operational and maintenance efforts. Your focus will primarily be on waste management and winter road maintenance, and you will work both strategically and operationally to create sustainable solutions for the municipality's streets and public spaces.
You will have ordering responsibility for contracts, including budget, contract follow-up, and delivery control. By leading operational meetings and following up on contractors' performances, you will ensure that the operations deliver according to agreed quality and timelines. You will also collaborate with other administrations and external actors to create efficient work processes and a safe, well-functioning urban environment – year-round.
Qualifications
Formal Requirements
To succeed in this role, we see that you have:
- A relevant university degree at least at the bachelor's level, preferably with a focus on operations and maintenance of traffic environments and paved surfaces.
- Alternatively, you have equivalent competence through work experience and professional skills that are deemed equivalent.
- Experience in operational and maintenance assignments in public environments.
- Experience in leading work in operational and maintenance projects.
- Good administrative skills and strong IT knowledge.
- Driver's license (B).
Meritorious
It is an advantage if you also have:
- Knowledge and experience of LOU, contract law, AB04, and ABFF.
- Experience working in a commissioning role or with contract follow-up.
