As a project manager in community building, you will belong to the Environmental and Community Building Administration. The position is organized under the Traffic Unit, and you will report to the Traffic Manager.

The Environmental and Community Building Administration consists of 6 units: Traffic, Water and Sewage, Recycling, Construction, Food and Facility Management, and Building and Environmental Unit. Together, we expand and maintain Öckerö's infrastructure.

The position of project manager in community building primarily involves projects in the early expansion phase, while project management in pure construction and infrastructure projects during the production phase will also occur. Your tasks include investigating project conditions, procuring, preparing materials for political decisions related to the assignment, following up on timelines and cost estimates, and coordinating competencies and project teams with a focus on quality and a good living environment for the municipality's residents and visitors. As a project manager, you also have overall responsibility based on budget and resource allocation. The role has many contact points and is responsible for driving projects from early stages to implementation. Qualifications

The following is required for the position:

  • A relevant university degree or work experience deemed equivalent by the employer.
  • Several years of experience working in a politically governed organization, preferably with a focus on environmental and community building.
  • Experience leading projects in community building.
  • Experience juggling multiple areas of responsibility, including finance, contacts with customers and/or suppliers, and operational work.

It is meritorious if you have:

  • Knowledge of the political decision-making process and experience in managing larger projects relevant to the operations.
  • Training in project management.

To succeed in the role, you are meticulous and responsible. You have the ability to plan and organize your work efficiently. Since we have close cooperation with other administrations and companies within the municipal group, it is important that you are a good relationship builder and possess strong pedagogical and communicative skills. You have an understanding of projects both at a general level and in detail. Furthermore, you have good knowledge of risks and challenges in projects. We value good collaboration and place great importance on your personal qualities.
