About the Organization

The Climate and Preparedness Unit within the Västra Götaland Region is responsible for the operation, supervision, and maintenance of technical systems as well as corrective maintenance and customer service.

We work with one of Sweden's most technology-intensive property portfolios - approximately 700,000 square meters where Sahlgrenska, Mölndal, Östra, and Högsbo hospitals are our largest units. About the Job

As an operations technician focusing on ventilation, you will:

• Work with inspection remarks after OVK at the hospitals in the Gothenburg area and ensure that these are addressed.
• Perform operation, supervision, and maintenance of ventilation systems as well as corrective maintenance.
• Conduct your own OVK inspections
• Perform your own balancing work
• Order contractor work, service, and materials for property operations.
• Handle administration such as invoices and reporting.
• Be a technical support to management and projects as well as a contact person for healthcare regarding indoor climate issues.

The work is independent but also involves collaboration with colleagues, contractors, and healthcare personnel. You will travel between hospitals as needed.

About You

We are looking for someone who has:

• At least a three-year technical high school education or post-secondary vocational training in ventilation technology.
• At least 10 years of experience working independently with technical installations for ventilation.
• OVK authorization and good knowledge of ventilation systems, control, and monitoring systems.
• Good computer skills, experience with the Office package, and a B driver's license.
• The ability to express yourself well in spoken and written Swedish.

It is an advantage if you have:

• Experience in project management or work leadership.
• Knowledge of pressure-controlled systems, filters for hospital operations, and scheduling.
• Experience working in digital systems for work order management.
• Good communication skills to explain technical issues to non-technical staff.
