STC is one of Sweden's largest gym chains with over 260 gyms and a wide range of training options within gym and group training. We agree with WHO, the Public Health Agency, and the government's investigators: we sit too much. Obesity is increasing, and mental health issues such as depression are becoming more common. But there is a simple solution that works wonders for both body, heart, and brain – movement! But we need your help!

We are currently looking for a Concept Manager at 100% for our product team. The role is based at our support office in Kungälv, and you will report to the Chief Product Officer (CPO). The position includes some travel.

Your mission:

In your role as Concept Manager, you will have a broad but exciting role where you will work with conceptualization by developing the overall design concept for our gyms that fits STC's brand and vision. This includes considering the gym's zoning, aesthetics, atmosphere, and functionality, as well as being responsible for layout planning by creating detailed drawings that result in functional and attractive gyms for our members. You are the product owner of STC's concept manual, where you will create, optimize, and ensure that it is synchronized with other governing documents such as visual identity and product strategy.

For selected new establishments and reinvestments, you will also be responsible for architectural planning by drawing layouts and working closely with operations, construction, and production to ensure that the concept manual is adapted to each gym's conditions and target group. You will continuously implement and improve our internal processes to ensure that our gyms' offerings are continuously improved and adapted to our members' needs and expectations.

To have the best conditions in the role, you will work closely with other colleagues in the product team as well as with the teams for establishment, construction, marketing, and operations. We work at a fast pace and at the same time have a lot of fun together, but we are happy to take a break to recharge with a joint workout in our office gym.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone with previous experience in similar roles where you have worked with architectural planning and project management. As a person, you are driven, results-oriented, self-sufficient, and have an easy time collaborating. You are structured, meticulous, and thrive in a role with great responsibility but see the benefit of achieving goals together through collaboration. You are also used to working towards set goals and deadlines and have the ability to see details in relation to the whole.

Requirements:

• Educated in architecture/design or equivalent that has provided you with the theoretical and practical tools needed to plan and design effective and attractive training environments.
• Several years of experience in concept development, architecture, interior design, retail design, or similar where you have worked closely with both function and aesthetics.
• Experienced in producing layouts and drawing materials – preferably in CAD or equivalent tools.
• Understand flows, logic, and how people move in a physical environment.
• Used to working on a project basis and keeping many threads together at the same time.

Meritorious:

• Experience in the fitness industry or other experiential environments.
• Basic understanding of construction processes or technical requirements.
• Interest in trends in design, training, and customer experience.

And of course, a big plus if you have an interest in health and fitness and are accustomed to gym environments.

Then we are very interested in learning more about you. As part of the recruitment process, we use tests from Alva Labs, not as a selection but at a later stage in the process. The tests consist of a logical problem-solving test and a personality test. The tests take approximately 30 minutes to complete, and you will receive information and examples of tasks before you start the actual test. We will make selections continuously until we find our new star!
