JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for someone who has worked for a few years as a track technician and wants to develop further. Or someone who is newly graduated and wants to deepen their knowledge in an exciting technical area.

In this role, you will specialize in track geometry. You will work closely with our inspector who will teach you advanced troubleshooting and analysis. You will work on identifying and understanding track position errors, finding out what causes them, and how to resolve them.

As a track technician, you are part of a team that works with the operation and maintenance of the railway. You will work with, among other things, yard reconstructions, track construction, and replacement of rails and sleepers.

Working hours vary, and the position involves travel, on-call duty from home, and work on evenings and weekends. Therefore, it is important that you live in the local area.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has:

• Approved high school education
• Approved track technical further education
• Driver's license (manual)
• Meets medical requirements to be approved for safety service

It is an advantage if you have:

• Work experience in track technology on the railway
• Experience working in the Traffic Authority's systems
• Experience from the railway industry
