We are looking for a Construction Manager for Contact Line at the Swedish Transport Administration.

This is a consulting assignment. The stationing location is Gothenburg.

The position is 40-60%.

The assignment involves close collaboration with the client, which places high demands on flexibility and teamwork.

The Assignment

As a Construction Manager for Contact Line/Remote Control in the Lundbyleden project, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating contact line and remote control technology within contracts E3 and E4. The role involves supporting project management with production technical issues, ensuring that work is carried out according to contracts, control plans, and the Swedish Transport Administration's operational system, as well as following up on the contract regarding quality, time, economy, environment, and safety. You are the client's representative on the construction site and participate in the project's coordination, risk management, and technical optimization.

Responsibilities

Be responsible for construction management and coordination of Contact Line and Remote Control within the Lundbyleden project, including monitoring the contractor's work regarding quality, time, economy, environment, and safety. Participate in design and contribute production experiences to ensure practical feasibility. Follow up on the contractor's compliance with contracts, ensure that control plans are established and that work follows these, and assist project management with documentation for changes. Participate in cost and time management, risk management, safety and environmental rounds, and safety planning, in collaboration with other subprojects and contractors. Participate in and, if necessary, lead relevant meetings such as construction and coordination meetings, and document and report production status, forecasts, and risks to the project manager. Be responsible for obtaining the necessary permits for production and construction in consultation with project management. Perform and document spot checks, inspections, verification follow-ups, and quantity controls according to established routines. Review the contractor's diary, work preparations, control plans, and deviation reports. Contribute to the technical, economic, and time optimization of the project. Perform other administrative tasks and other duties required to carry out the project in accordance with the Swedish Transport Administration's operational system.

Requirements (IMPORTANT, mandatory)

a) At least three (3) years of documented experience in assignments as a construction manager/site manager/production manager/foreman or another role that the Swedish Transport Administration considers equivalent in the client organization or producing organization within the contact line technology area. The experience must have been acquired in the last 15 years. b) Experience from a project where the connection of the contact line in a yard or operational site involving at least 4 tracks has been included in any of the roles according to point a) or in the role of high voltage electrical technician. c) Experience in railway contracts over 30 million SEK in any of the roles according to point a. d) Good knowledge of contract law within AMA MER and AB04. e) Good knowledge of the use of software in Microsoft Office. f) Ability to express oneself well in Swedish in both spoken and written form. g) University education with a degree in a relevant field or high school education with a degree combined with relevant experience for the position that the Swedish Transport Administration assesses as equivalent. h) Documented training in Contact Line basic course and Contact Line construction or previous course setups BEKTL 1, 2, and 3. i) Hold a valid driver's license for passenger cars in Sweden. j) Authorized Safety and Security Leader (SOS leader) according to the Swedish Transport Administration's regulations.

Desirable

Documented experience from working with maintenance or new/reconstruction of railway facilities in operation, within the remote control technology area. Documented training/experience as Electrical Safety and Connection Leader for contact line and train heating. Experience from conducting safety inspections on the railway's contact and auxiliary power lines. Good collaboration skills. Works well with others. Relates to them in a responsive and smooth manner. Listens, communicates, and resolves conflicts in a constructive way. Initiative-taking. That is, you take initiative, start activities, and achieve results.
