Job Responsibilities
Are you an experienced construction project manager looking to help build and develop over 150 facilities in the City of Gothenburg, including swimming pools, sports halls, outdoor gyms, exercise tracks, sports fields, ice rinks, football pitches, skate parks, and more?
If so, you might be the person we are looking for!
We are facing a large and exciting project portfolio in the coming years, including several new sports halls, swimming baths, and ice rinks to be completed. More facilities are also in the detailed planning phase. Currently, we generate over 600 million SEK annually within new, renovation, and extension projects. In addition, the administration is leading a major urban development project in the arena area, where a new central swimming facility with accompanying sports halls will be built. With us, you will be part of a competent team of project managers, administrators, maintenance engineers, environmental specialists, and rental negotiators.
As a construction project manager with us, you will work in the client role and be responsible for the entire process – from feasibility studies and program work to procurement, design, construction management, handover, and warranty management. You will independently drive your projects from start to finish, responsible for time, budget, and quality.
Your role as a project manager is broad. The projects you are responsible for vary in size and complexity, and you often manage several simultaneously. You report to the project owner and, where applicable, to the project steering groups, collaborating with the project team. You are also responsible for regulatory contacts, ensuring that necessary permits are obtained and that laws and regulations are followed throughout the project's duration.
In this role, you will balance economic, technical, and social aspects to meet the needs of the operations while contributing to our high goals in environmental sustainability.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has:
- Relevant higher education or other training combined with experience deemed advantageous for the role
- Several years of experience in independently managing building projects
- Good insight into the real estate industry and solid construction technical knowledge
- Certified knowledge in project management, such as XLPM or other equivalent
- Basic knowledge of Antura, construction law, the Planning and Building Act (PBL), and procurement according to LOU
For this position, we place great emphasis on your personal competencies. To succeed as a construction project manager with us, we see that you are structured, analytical, and action-oriented. You inspire confidence, build good relationships, and have the ability to create networks, are comfortable leading meetings, and have good negotiation skills. We also see that you have a genuine interest in construction projects, preferably with a specialization in sports.
Welcome with your application!
