We are looking for an optometrist for our children's team in Region Sörmland!

About us

The Eye Clinic Sörmland is a regional clinic divided into three locations in Eskilstuna, Katrineholm, and Nyköping. We perform cataract surgeries, strabismus surgeries, outpatient surgeries, anti-VEGF treatments, and we monitor children and adults with various chronic eye diseases. Our eye clinic employs ophthalmologists, ophthalmic nurses, registered nurses, nursing assistants, optometrists, orthoptists, and medical secretaries.

As an optometrist with us, you will work in a county-wide children's team with three pediatric ophthalmologists and two orthoptists. The children's team has regular conferences where the entire team gathers to discuss patient cases and general questions regarding patient care. Participation in orthoptist meetings and pediatric eye meetings across the country is conducted regularly.

Your responsibilities

• Independent vision testing and refraction of children and adults.
• Eyeglass prescriptions.
• Amblyopia treatment.
• Possibly examination and treatment of diplopia issues (depending on competence).

Your qualifications

You should be a trained optometrist. Previous experience is an advantage, and we place great value on teamwork and flexibility as we work in a county-wide children's team. We emphasize personal qualities.

Employment form

Permanent employment with start date according to agreement.
