About us

Sörmland's ambulance care is at the top of Swedish ambulance care, and we are constantly developing new solutions for better care and work environment. We strive for good accessibility and high preparedness around the clock and work with the latest technology in communication and technical equipment. Region Sörmland operates the emergency center in collaboration with the Regions of Uppsala and Västmanland. In Region Sörmland, the emergency center is part of the ambulance organization.

Your tasks

Working as an ambulance caregiver, together in a team with a nurse or specialist-trained nurse. Together you assess, treat, and transport patients to the appropriate level of care.

Your qualifications

We are looking for driven, positive nursing assistants with further education in ambulance care or with many years of real competence in the profession. Documented experience of at least 1 year in emergency ambulance service and emergency driving authorization is a requirement to work in the ambulance. By the summer of 2025, other types of resources may be relevant where you as a newly graduated ambulance caregiver may be considered. You should be proactive, solution-focused, and passionate about meeting the patient where they are.

We place great emphasis on personal qualities such as: clear communication, stability, and the ability to build trust.

The tasks require you to master the Swedish language fully in both speech and writing and have good knowledge of English. Multilingualism is an asset.
Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

Employment requirements

Good physical condition is required as heavy lifting often occurs in the job. During the hiring process, physical tests in the form of carrying tests, endurance, and strength, as well as a written certificate of swimming ability 200 m, are included. You should have good driving experience and a class B driver's license for at least 3 years. A class C/C1 driver's license is a requirement.

Employment form

Vacation substitute employment with start date according to agreement.
Day, night, and weekend shifts are included.
