From early spring to late autumn, there is much happening at this Öland destination, ranging from concerts, children's activities, exhibitions, guided tours, and evening events. Borgholm Castle is today the ruin of the magnificent baroque palace built by Karl X Gustav in the mid-17th century. The oldest parts of the castle date back to the 12th century.

Today, it is a vibrant place and one of the region's most popular destinations. Here, history blends with our time. Now, it is together that we create history at the castle.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

You will be part of the castle team responsible for ticketing/entrance and guided tours.

The castle operations include cash handling in our entrance building, which also houses the castle's shop. Here, you will welcome visitors arriving at the castle and introduce families to the various children's activities. You will also ensure that the shop remains clean and inviting and restock products.

All who have purchased tickets can join a guided tour around the castle. During the summer, guided tours are offered at fixed times several times a day, and in spring and autumn, tours are conducted on weekends. As a guide at Borgholm Castle, you will work to tell the castle's history in an exciting and engaging way in various environments.

During the summer, Borgholm Castle receives many visitors each day. Together, we help keep the area clean and nice. The schedule includes tasks such as visitor hosting and light cleaning.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a positive and social attitude who enjoys personal interactions. You find it easy to collaborate and have the ability to provide the castle's visitors with an experience that exceeds their expectations.

We value an interest in history and good language skills in Swedish and English, and you should not be afraid to speak in front of large groups.
