Job Responsibilities

As a project manager in Maintenance, you impact many people every day, and your work is essential for a functioning, accessible, and safe road network. The work is highly independent, and you are responsible for managing and leading contract work within the assigned area in project form.

This means you make decisions about actions, options, and resource use within the project's framework and allocate work for both internal support resources and specialists as well as external suppliers. You lead a competent smaller project group and also collaborate with external parties during the project's phases, such as consultants, contractors, and municipalities. Planning, budgeting, participating in the procurement process, and following up and managing contracted entrepreneurs are part of the assignment. Therefore, you have financial responsibility for the projects and continuously monitor operations against set goals regarding budget, time, and quality.

The main purpose of the position is to plan, procure, and implement road marking contracts in Västerbotten and Norrbotten counties. In close collaboration with the teams for maintaining paved roads, it may also be relevant to carry out other measures, such as drainage and paving contracts.

We are looking for someone who has

  • a university or college education of at least 180 credits with a technical focus in road or construction, or other education combined with relevant experience that we assess as equivalent
  • several years of relevant and current experience as a project manager or another leading role such as site manager, construction manager, work leader, or assignment manager
  • current and relevant work experience in economic, budget, and result follow-up within construction and civil engineering
  • good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing
  • a valid driver's license for passenger cars

It is also desirable if you have

  • several years of current experience working in road marking or maintenance paving as a project manager, construction manager, or project engineer
  • current and relevant work experience with ABK, AB, and/or ABT
