During the period from June to August, we need your help when our regular staff goes on vacation. We are therefore looking for several individuals who can support the operations during the summer period. The work involves being responsible for an area that is constantly changing and places high demands on safety awareness and security.

Job Responsibilities

As a production worker in drilling, loading, and transport, you will work in open-pit mining above ground. Depending on the machines you operate, the tasks are as follows:

Production Drilling: 
You will perform production drilling with the mining technique of open-pit mining above ground.

Truck Driving: Your main tasks will be to transport ore and waste rock to crushers and dumps using haul trucks. You will be transporting material with 100-200 ton haul trucks.

Loading: Your main tasks will involve loading with excavators or wheel loaders; you will also assist with lighter repairs and maintenance, such as replacing wear parts. Driving a snow groomer may also occur.

In addition to the tasks described above, the work includes assisting with other tasks within production and other departments within your competence when regular tasks are not performed. The role also includes taking responsibility for the machines you use, the facilities you work in, and following the established processes. The work must be carried out safely and efficiently from a work environment, cost, and maintenance perspective.

Education and Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with a high school diploma or equivalent qualifications with experience from similar operations. A B driver's license for manual transmission is required for employment. It is an advantage if you have more than two years of frequent driving experience. The ability to communicate verbally in Swedish is also required. It is an advantage if you have experience working with heavy construction machinery, have completed machine operator training, or hold a C driver's license. If you have education in the field, such as a technical high school or mining education, that is an additional merit.

Working Hours

In the mine, we have two different shift patterns, K4 (7 days of work, 7 days off) and K5 (work 2 night shifts, rotating shifts, work 2 day shifts, 5 days off). Summer substitutes cover absences in different shift teams, so the schedule for substitutes varies as needed.

In K4, the following working hours apply: morning 05:52 - 15:30, afternoon 15:22 - 01:00 (trucks)

In K5, the following working hours apply: day 06:00 – 18:00, night 18:00 – 06:00 (drilling and road graders)

By agreement.

Before the temporary position begins, an introductory training will be conducted during April and May. The length of the introduction varies depending on your previous experience in the field.
