About the job
The Assistance Unit in Uddevalla is one of three units within the Adult Support Department responsible for authority exercise and consists of an experienced and knowledgeable workgroup.
Through flexibility and shared responsibility, we meet our users in an elderly care sector that faces an exciting future where we together need to find the best solutions based on demographic challenges, welfare technology opportunities, and the transition based on the new Social Services Act.
Our workplace is located in central Uddevalla with proximity to public transport. We have the possibility for remote work and you will receive a good introduction through team leaders and experienced colleagues.
As we have employees going on parental leave, we are now looking for two new Assistance Officers to join our wonderful team.
Responsibilities
- Receive applications, investigate and make decisions about interventions for our target group, and follow up on decisions according to the Social Services Act.
- Plan homecomings from hospitals for a safe and secure care transition.
- Provide relevant information and guidance within the framework of our service obligation.
- Collaborate internally within the municipality and externally with, for example, healthcare and other authorities.
- Participate in developing the unit's work.

Qualifications
- Degree in Social Work or education that the employer assesses as equivalent
- Driving license B
Meritorious
- Experience in assistance handling for the elderly
- Experience with the IBIC method
- Experience working in the Lifecare VoO operational system
- Experience in the care planning system SAMSA
Other
Selection and interviews will be conducted continuously during the recruitment period.
Probationary employment may be applied.
We are also looking for two summer substitutes who can work June - August 2026.
For positions where a license/valid proof from the National Board of Health and Welfare for protected professional title is required, this must be submitted before employment.
Language assessment is conducted for certain professional groups before employment can become relevant.
