About the Position

Do you have a teaching license with the authority to teach in grade 3? We are currently looking for a substitute teacher who wants to be part of a dedicated and competent teaching team that always puts the student in focus. Uppsävjaskolan is a F-5 school with approximately 320 students located in the southern parts of Uppsala Municipality. With proximity to forests and land, we create good opportunities for students' development both during the school day and in the after-school program. We actively work to develop and adapt teaching and activities to meet the diverse needs of all students. Here, all students should be able to succeed!

We work together both in the work team for each grade and for after-school across the whole school. We offer facilities and outdoor environments that inspire all kinds of activities.

Your Responsibilities

As a teacher in grade 3, you will be an important part of the students' learning and development. You will be responsible for teaching two classes and have mentorship in one of them, which means you are a safe and engaged contact person for students and guardians. In your role, you will plan and implement teaching in Swedish, mathematics, art, technology, and science, focusing on creating a stimulating and inclusive learning environment where every student has the opportunity to reach their full potential.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a teaching license authorized to teach in grade 3. It is advantageous if you also have experience teaching students in a school environment. To succeed in this role, you need to be familiar with the school's governing documents. The work also requires you to have good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form.

As a person, you are outgoing and socially active in professional contexts where you easily create contacts and maintain relationships. Furthermore, you have a good understanding of how people acquire knowledge and the different conditions of individuals. Last but not least, you adapt the way you convey your message to the recipient.
