About the Role

SAAB Dynamics - Missiles in Linköping (Malmslätt) is looking for you who want to work as a Production Engineer, preferably with a focus on composites such as carbon fiber and fiberglass. If you have experience in general production engineering work, you will feel at home here regardless of your knowledge of composites. The tasks vary depending on your previous experience and competence. However, we can guarantee a rewarding and exciting job at a company that is in growth and development!

As a Production Engineer, you will be responsible for providing quick technical support, adjusting production documentation, repairing or replacing defective tools, and participating in the procurement of new tools when needed. You will play a central role in supporting production and improving work processes. You are responsible for establishing and updating preparations such as assembly instructions and operation lists for your products, as well as maintaining the best possible availability of tools and equipment. If we have an existing product that needs to be changed, you will ensure that this is handled. The work is production-close where you work down at the production to ensure that everything flows as it should. Examples of products include components for Gripen and RBS15.

As a Production Engineer, you will gain a broad internal network and a great understanding of SAAB's operations. You will have contact with logistics, production planning, and other departments. An important part of your role is to work on improvements, which may involve reorganizing workflows, acquiring new aids or tools, and standardizing work methods to increase efficiency. The team works dynamically, and new ideas and thoughts are welcomed to make the work as effective as possible.

Your Profile

To thrive in this role, there are two types of profiles we are looking for. You should either have process knowledge and knowledge of composites, preferably in connection with production engineering. You need to understand process knowledge, how temperature and mixing affect the material, and how it should be handled in production and processing. This knowledge can come from work experience or education, such as a vocational or university degree in Production Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Economics, or similar.

Another path to fit this role is if you have worked with machining, for example, worked with tool adaptation and cutting techniques. If you have worked with CNC machining (milling), that can also be suitable for this position. If you have worked with process optimizations or machining of fiberglass, that is advantageous.

In addition to the above orientations, the following requirements are mandatory for this role:

• Swedish, fluent in speech and writing
• Work experience in preparation, such as scheduling, manufacturing methods, and optimization.
• Swedish citizenship

Great importance is also placed on your personality for this role. You need to be social and proactive as the work involves contact in many different areas. You also need to be flexible and adaptable as the work is varied and can change quickly.
