OUR ACTIVITIES IN ELDERLY CARE
As a summer substitute in Tranås municipality, you make a significant contribution and build valuable experience for future jobs. You will learn to take responsibility, enhance your ability to collaborate, and develop your approach towards people. If you are interested in working in elderly care this summer, you are welcome to submit your application.

HOME CARE
In home care, you will work as a summer substitute to help and support the elderly who, due to age or need for care and support, require assistance at home. You will help and support the elderly through home visits that can be done independently or together with a colleague.

SPECIAL HOUSING
In special housing, you will work as a summer substitute with the elderly who, due to age or need for extensive care and support, require adapted housing. You will help and support the elderly in a department together with colleagues.

JOB TASKS
As a summer substitute in elderly care, you will have varied tasks designed according to the citizen's needs. This may involve personal hygiene and care such as showering and dressing, medication management, cleaning and laundry, cooking meals, and other daily tasks.

Another part of the job involves activating the elderly by, for example, accompanying them on walks to contribute to a meaningful everyday life for the elderly.

The work includes documentation in our digital systems.

If you become a candidate for hourly employment, you will need to present an extract from the criminal record. You can order this from the Police.

WORKING HOURS
In elderly care, flexible working hours occur; you can work days and evenings or nights as well as weekends.

QUALIFICATIONS
Before the summer, we are looking for someone who has a genuine interest in meeting people and helping them in their daily lives. Important qualities are customer service, flexibility, and responsibility.

The work may involve physically and mentally demanding tasks such as heavy lifting, solitary work, and shifts during evenings and nights.

Good knowledge of the Swedish language is a requirement.

Personal suitability is highly valued.

We view positively if you are a nursing assistant, or if you have a completed or ongoing high school education in care and support, but this is not a requirement. It is also positive if you have previously worked in care and support, but even if you lack experience, you are welcome to apply.

EMPLOYMENT AND SALARY
Hourly employment with a schedule and guaranteed employment rate during one or two holiday periods.

The summer period is between week 25–32. The first holiday period is between weeks 25-28 and the second between weeks 29-32. You can choose whether you want to work the first or the second holiday period, or the entire summer period.

If you work both holiday periods, that is, weeks 25-32 with a working rate of at least 80%, you have the opportunity for a bonus of 4000 SEK before tax. This will be paid out with the final salary.

Salary will be discussed during the interview or when an employment offer is made.

Interviews and selection will take place continuously throughout the application period.
