The Role of an Audiologist

As an audiologist with us, you will contribute to offering all residents of Region Jönköping County equal and accessible hearing care, with high quality, by the right competence, at the right time.

The role includes work with basic hearing rehabilitation and hearing diagnostics. We place great importance on good treatment where information, support, and advice to both patients and their relatives are an important part. In addition to the daily collaboration with audiologists and hearing technicians, we also work closely with healthcare personnel from the ENT department (nursing assistants, nurses, healthcare administrators, and doctors).

We offer a permanent full-time position with a start date to be agreed upon. Working hours are during the day on weekdays.

You will have the opportunity to work at a pleasant and family-like workplace with fine premises and good conditions to contribute to good and quality-assured hearing care. We have large, bright reception rooms and access to quality-assuring equipment in all of them. At the Audiology Department in Värnamo, six audiologists and one hearing technician work; we share the clinic with the ENT department and thus have several other professions as our closest colleagues.

The ENT clinic is county-wide and exists at four different locations. We take care of patients with diseases and injuries in the ear, nose, and throat area. In total, we are about 110 employees in various professional groups, of which 45 work within the audiology and hearing technical operations.

Your Profile

We are looking for you who are a licensed audiologist or a student who will soon be licensed. Having a driver's license is an asset, but not a requirement for the position.

To enjoy the role with us as an audiologist, you should have good communication and collaboration skills. We always have the patient in focus and value the collaboration within the clinic; therefore, we expect you as a person to show good treatment, interest, and thoroughness in your work. You should be able to work towards goals, focus on results, and have the ability to look out for the best interests of the operation. We place great importance on personal suitability.
