Welcome to us

The pool operation within special housing, also known as "Pool SÄBO", supports all elderly and dementia care facilities in Jönköping Municipality. We consist of three working groups operating across five geographical areas. Together, we cover the areas where the needs are greatest.

As part of the pool, you get great freedom to plan your own availability in close dialogue with your colleagues. Within the framework of the annual working time agreement, you can influence how your shifts are scheduled, both on weekdays and weekends. This gives you a unique opportunity to adapt your working hours to what works best for you.

For the flexibility and independence that the role requires, we offer a salary supplement.

Your new job

As a pool assistant nurse, you have a significant role where you provide safe and high-quality care to the residents at the units you are booked to. You work from a person-centered and health-promoting approach, focusing on the healthy aspects and the opportunities and resources that exist in each person. It is also about letting the person do as much as possible themselves to maintain their abilities.

Examples of tasks:

• Personal care, such as help with hygiene, moving, and other care
• Daily chores, such as cleaning and laundry
• Social support and activities that create security
• Medication management according to delegation
• Palliative care and end-of-life care
• Social documentation

You have a close and important collaboration with colleagues within Pool SÄBO and the staff at the units you support. Your role also includes contact and cooperation with nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, coordinators, unit managers, and relatives to ensure safe and cohesive care and support.

Your competence

Qualifications

• Qualified assistant nurse
• At least three years of accumulated work experience as an assistant nurse
• Class B driver's license
• Good computer skills and the ability to learn new digital work tools
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
• Good physical mobility as situations arise that cannot be predicted and must be solved in a way adapted to the situation

Merits

• Experience in dementia care, palliative care, and/or mental disabilities.

Good to know

The recruitment concerns a permanent full-time position, with a desired start date in August/September or by agreement. A probationary period of 6 months may apply.

Working hours are scheduled for day and evening, both on weekdays and weekends.

Since the role involves working throughout Jönköping Municipality and public transport to some of our outer areas may be limited, it is an advantage if you have access to your own car. This makes it easier for you to get to the workplace you are booked for and be on site at the start of your shift.
