Department of Dental Radiology

The Department of Dental Radiology is part of the Department of Odontology, a leading national resource for specialist dental care in clinical treatment, research, and education. Here, we provide specialist dental care and train the specialists of tomorrow. The Department of Odontology covers all nine specialist areas and hosts a national competence center for rare dental conditions. The Role of Chief Dentist

As a Chief Dentist in dental radiology, your responsibilities include clinical work, consultations, and teaching. You will be involved in specialist training (ST), providing both clinical supervision and theoretical education, and you will be engaged in the clinic's research projects. We foster an open climate and value good collaboration, both within dentistry and with the broader healthcare system. We hold regular multidisciplinary meetings to ensure our patients receive the best possible care.

Your Future Workplace

The Department of Dental Radiology, together with the specialties of oral and maxillofacial surgery, orofacial medicine, and occlusion, forms the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Together, we are a clinic with 68 employees. In addition to chief dentists, dental hygienists, and dental nurses, we employ healthcare administrators, specialist trainees (ST-dentists), and merit-based dentists. The department is led by a department head and a unit manager, with subject coordinators and lead ST-supervisors also present. Our clinic is located in modern facilities at Ryhov Hospital and at the Department of Odontology at Rosenlund Health Center.

Your Profile

We are seeking a candidate with a Swedish dental license and approved specialist training in dental radiology. This position may also be suitable for those nearing the completion of their specialist training who plan to finish in the near future. Experience or interest in clinical research, as well as education and supervision of ST-dentists, is an asset. The role requires good computer skills and the ability to communicate effectively in both Swedish and English.

Our Offer to You

Our operations rest on three pillars: clinic, education, and research. We offer a varied role where you can combine these three elements. In addition to your clinical work, you will contribute to the supervision of ST-dentists. You will also participate in the clinic's seminar activities, both theoretical and clinical, in collaboration with other specialties.

We offer a permanent full-time position with a start date to be agreed upon, though we are open to discussing employment terms based on your personal situation.
