Your Summer Job

As a physiotherapist/rehabilitation assistant within municipal health and medical care, you will work with home rehabilitation and support patients in their return home after a hospital stay. Your work is performed in the patient's home – this could be at a nursing home, group housing, service apartment, short-term unit, or in a private residence.

You will meet patients of various ages with varying care needs. Your interventions are therefore always based on each individual's abilities and resources, with the goal of promoting participation, independence, and health.

In your daily work, you will collaborate with experienced and knowledgeable colleagues from other professions, such as nurses, specialist nurses, assistant nurses, and occupational therapists.

Main duties as a Physiotherapist:

• Assess the patient's functional ability and rehabilitation needs, individually or together with an occupational therapist colleague
• Perform and follow up on treatments
• Investigate and test technical aids
• Design and implement individual training programs
• Mentor and educate relatives and nursing staff on how to support the patient's training
• Documentation in the business system Combine
• Other duties may also occur

Who are you?

We are looking for you who are a licensed physiotherapist, or alternatively, someone who will graduate from the physiotherapy program in the summer of 2026. You may also be eligible for the position as a rehabilitation assistant if you have completed at least four terms of the physiotherapy program or have another relevant advanced training in rehabilitation and health. Previous experience of work within care and welfare is an asset.

A Class B driver's license is a requirement, as a car is used in the position. You must have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, as well as good computer skills.

As a person, you have a positive attitude and a genuine interest in people. You are self-reliant and take responsibility for your tasks, while also having good teamwork skills and appreciating working in a team.

Your Future Workplace

The health and medical care function in Jönköping Municipality consists of 13 health and medical care teams and a home team. Together, we work with planned and acute health and medical care interventions at home, as well as rehabilitation, habilitation, and palliative care, and with assessing and meeting the need for technical aids at home. Your workday begins and is based at a team office located according to the team's geographical placement.

Good to know

The recruitment concerns a summer substitute position during the holiday period from June to August 2026. For those who show their mettle, there may also be an opportunity for continued employment. Your working hours are primarily during the day, Monday to Friday.

The selection process begins in January, and interviews will take place continuously during the application period.
