Your Summer Job

As a nurse with us at the Health and Medical Care Function (HS), you will work with both planned and acute interventions in the patient's home – this can be in nursing homes, group homes, service apartments, short-term units, or private residences. You will meet a broad target group with varying care needs. You will work both independently and in close collaboration with other professional groups such as assistant nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and rehabilitation assistants. As a nurse, you often have a central role in the team.

Your tasks include:

• Medical assessments
• Sampling, wound care, and palliative care
• Medication management and handling of medical devices
• Documentation in the business system Combine
• Other tasks may also occur

For those who wish to work as a nurse at night, there is an HS team responsible for municipal home care, regardless of housing form, during night hours. This implies more independent work across the entire municipality.

Who are you?

• You are a licensed nurse/specialist nurse, or graduating by the summer of 2026
• Meritorious with experience of work within care and welfare, preferably as a nurse or assistant nurse
• A B-class driver's license is a requirement as a car is used in the service
• You have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, as well as good computer skills

Your Future Workplace

The Health and Medical Care Function in Jönköping Municipality consists of 13 health and medical care teams and a home team working with home care and home rehabilitation in both ordinary and special housing. Your workday begins and originates from a team office based on the team's geographical location. The night team operates from a facility in the Asecs area.

Good to know

The recruitment concerns a summer substitute position from June to August 2026. For those who show their best side, there may also be an opportunity for further employment. Your working hours are either scheduled for day, evening, and weekend, or awake night depending on the position.

Selection and interviews take place continuously during the application period. In your application, you will specify which geographical area you are interested in working in and whether you wish to work day or night.
