Welcome to us

Stattutgatan Elderly Care Home is located in Dalvik, Jönköping, and consists of 70 apartments distributed across six units: four units for care and support of the elderly, one dementia unit, and one unit within social psychiatry. Our mission is to support and help citizens in their daily lives and create an existence characterized by security, meaningfulness, and well-being. Around 70 employees work with us, together with three unit managers who share leadership and are close to the operations in the daily work.

Your new job

We are now looking forward to welcoming two new colleagues – one to our dementia unit and one to one of our elderly care units.

As an assistant nurse with us, you support citizens in everything from personal care such as hygiene, dressing, and transfers to daily chores and social activities. In every encounter, you show care and respect for the individual's integrity, encourage participation, and adapt support according to the citizen's needs and wishes. With us, all residents should have a safe, dignified, and meaningful daily life.

The work also includes palliative care and support in the end-of-life phase, as well as medical interventions delegated by licensed staff. You act as a contact person for a number of citizens and are responsible for supervision and implementation plans. Documentation and various types of reporting are also part of the daily work. If necessary, other tasks may also arise, and we help each other where needed across all our units.

You collaborate closely with colleagues, coordinators, unit managers, and licensed staff. Contact with relatives is, of course, also a natural part of your work.

Your competence

We are looking for someone who is an educated assistant nurse, preferably with experience from working in elderly care. If you are a care assistant with extensive and relevant experience in care and support, this experience may replace the educational requirement. Since one of the positions is in the dementia unit, it is an asset if you have worked in dementia care and with the BPSD register.

You need to be able to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing, as the work involves a lot of contact with citizens, relatives, and colleagues, as well as written documentation. You have good computer skills and feel secure using digital tools for documentation.

The work also requires physical mobility, as situations arise that cannot be predicted and must be solved in a way adapted to the situation.

We are looking for someone who is flexible, proactive, and independent in your working style. You plan and carry out your tasks in a structured and responsible manner, even when the pace changes or unexpected situations arise. You are secure and stable, have good collaboration skills, and communicate clearly. You actively contribute to improving the operations and always work with a focus on quality and good care.

Good to know

The recruitment concerns two permanent full-time positions, with start date according to agreement. Working hours are scheduled for day and evening, both weekdays and weekends. We may fill more positions, and offers of employment at another unit may become relevant. We work with joint planning.
