The Role of Senior Dentist in Oral Prosthetics

As a senior dentist with us, you will work with the clinical care of patients referred to specialist dental care.

The Department of Odontology in Jönköping is one of Sweden's largest educators of specialist dentists. Here, tomorrow's specialists are trained. As a senior dentist, you will be involved in the specialist training (ST), both regarding clinical supervision and theoretical education. You will also consult and be consulted by colleagues.

You will also be engaged in the clinic's research projects. Together with other actors, we research implant treatment, dental materials, and other clinical questions. We are generous in sharing our knowledge and competence, which benefits both others and ourselves.

We have an open climate and regular multidisciplinary collaborations, both within the department and throughout the Department of Odontology.

The position is a permanent full-time employment, but we are open to dialogue regarding employment terms depending on your life situation. Working hours are during the day on weekdays. Start date is according to agreement.

Your Future Workplace

Public Dental Care is an operational area within Region Jönköping County, and we have the ultimate responsibility for dental care in the county. We are the country's fourth largest public dental care organization with approximately 700 employees working to provide the county's inhabitants with the best possible oral health. We have 26 general dental clinics, specialist dental care at the Department of Odontology covering all nine specialist areas, and a national competence center for rare dental conditions. The Department of Oral Prosthetics, together with the specialties of endodontics and periodontics, forms a joint department with approximately 55 employees. The department is led by a head of department and a unit manager. The department also includes research leaders, a dean of studies, subject coordinators, and main ST supervisors. In the same building, there are also departments for pedodontics, orthodontics, dental radiology, and the Competence Center for Rare Dental Conditions.

We are looking for you who are a specialist dentist in oral prosthetics.

As a person, you are stable, find it easy to adapt to changed conditions, and see opportunities in changes. You find it easy to collaborate with others and are careful and quality-conscious. You express yourself well in Swedish, both in speech and writing, and you adapt your communication based on the recipient. We place great importance on personal suitability.
