The Role of an ELSA Nurse

ELSA stands for the Unit for Licensed Nurses in General Service. As an ELSA nurse, you are employed on a permanent basis, but you work across different departments to broaden your competence. Typically, you work for six or twelve months at each department before rotating. Rotations occur on March 1st and September 1st. As an ELSA nurse, you are part of the department's regular staffing during your time there; you do not replace regular staff but work alongside them.

The work as an ELSA nurse is varied and suits those who are curious and enjoy trying new things! This role is perfect for newly graduated nurses who haven't yet decided on a specific field, as well as experienced nurses looking to expand their skills or try something new for a while.

In the first step, you will complete four basic placements in the following operations:

• Medicine and Geriatrics Clinic
• Orthopedic Clinic
• Psychiatric Clinic
• Surgical Clinic

Subsequently, you will move on to more advanced assignments in the following operations:

• Ambulance Care in Högland
• Acute Clinic
• Day Care Unit (DUVA)
• Dialysis Unit
• Endoscopy Unit
• Women's Clinic
• Bra Liv Health Centers

Your Profile

We are looking for a newly graduated, licensed nurse. You do not need to have your license to apply, but you must obtain it before starting your employment with us.

As a person, you understand the importance of a pleasant approach and take responsibility for your tasks. As an ELSA nurse, you are someone who adapts easily to changing circumstances and enjoys varied tasks. You have good collaboration skills, are proactive, and take responsibility for both your own tasks and the big picture. You are skilled at working independently and prioritizing your tasks efficiently.

Personal suitability is of great importance to us.

The position is a permanent full-time employment. Start date is by agreement; we would prefer you to start with us as soon as possible.
