The Role of a Nurse at the Dialysis Unit

Healthcare Unit F is an outpatient clinic with 24 home dialysis stations, focusing on utilizing the patient's ability for self-care. The goal is to create involved patients who, despite chronic illness, can lead an active life with good quality of life.

Your Profile

We are looking for a licensed nurse with an interest in building good and secure patient relationships. We are looking for someone who can complement our team, and the focus will be on personal suitability. Whether you are a newly graduated nurse new to the role or an experienced nurse with solid experience, you can contribute to our operations.

We expect you to have a drive to develop and a desire to contribute to the development of the operation. You are communicative, enjoy technology, have good teamwork skills, and maintain a positive attitude in your work. Since you will work in close collaboration with the patient, we believe it is important that you are skilled in relationship building to make the patient feel secure and involved in the treatment.

The unit is an outpatient clinic with 24 home dialysis stations. We work to increase patient involvement, where the patient, according to their own ability and wishes, can manage all or part of their treatment themselves.

• As a newly hired nurse, you will receive a comprehensive 6-week introduction with 2 experienced dialysis nurses to gradually become confident in both tasks and technology.
• During a shift, you are responsible for 3 patients, creating good conditions for patient-safe care and high quality.
• You will work together with a colleague as we have 2 nurses per ward, providing continuous support, collaboration, and security in daily work.
• You will have specific nursing responsibility for a few patients and their long-term planning and treatment.
• As a nurse with us, you will have technical, stimulating, and independent work but you will never be alone.

Working Hours and Employment Conditions

Working hours are 06:45–15:30 or 11:30–19:30, and you will work 2 Saturdays out of 5. The unit is closed on Sundays.

Hemodialysis is open Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 06:45–19:30, and Tuesday, Thursday from 06:45–15:30, and Saturday from 06:45–15:00.

We apply a wish-schedule. The position is permanent, and you can choose to work 80–100%. Start date according to agreement. If you are newly educated, you will also participate in our advanced introduction program (RIU) for newly graduated nurses, which runs during your first year with us.
