Have you completed at least two semesters of the nursing program, or are you perhaps already a qualified assistant nurse? Ahead of summer 2026, we are looking for you to work as an assistant nurse within municipal health and medical care.

Your Summer Job

As an assistant nurse with us at the Health and Medical Care Function (HS), you will work with both planned and acute interventions in the patient's home – this could be in elderly care facilities, group housing, short-term units, or private homes. The target group is broad and includes both young and elderly people with varying care needs. As an assistant nurse, you will perform health and medical care tasks delegated or assigned by a nurse.

Your tasks include:

• Blood pressure monitoring, catheter management, wound dressing
• Phlebotomy (venous blood sampling)
• Medication management, e.g., dose dispensing, insulin administration
• Documentation in the operational system Combine
• Other tasks may also occur

You will work in one of our HS Teams together with experienced and knowledgeable colleagues from various professions such as nurses, specialist nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and rehabilitation assistants.

Who are you?

• You are a qualified assistant nurse or have completed at least 2 semesters of the nursing program, 6 semesters of the medical program, or 4 semesters towards becoming a biomedical analyst
• Experience working in healthcare and social services is an asset, but not a requirement
• A Class B driver's license is required as a car is used for the job
• You have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, as well as good computer skills
• To work with us, you must be at least 18 years old

Your Future Workplace

The Health and Medical Care Function in Jönköping Municipality consists of 13 health and medical care teams and a home team working with home care and home rehabilitation in both ordinary and special housing. Your workday begins and is based at a team office located according to the team's geographical placement.

Good to know

The recruitment concerns a summer substitute position from June to August 2026. For those who show their potential, there may also be an opportunity for further employment. Your working hours are primarily during the day, Monday to Friday.
