About the Unit

The K 3 regiment staff consists of about 40 employees, half of whom are professional officers and half have a civilian position. The staff supports the commander of K 3 and other commanders at the regiment with coordination and follow-up and provides expert support in various areas of expertise. The staff, led by the chief of staff, is organized into nine sections where you, as an IT coordinator, belong to the command systems section (G6).

Main Responsibilities

The IT area primarily consists of the services delivered through the Armed Forces' fixed telecommunication and IT infrastructure. The IT coordinator is the regiment's highest functional representative in the IT area and is part of G6, which consists of the communications chief (G6 chief), signals protection chief, and IT coordinator. In your role as an IT coordinator, your main area of work is to lead, coordinate, and administer the IT area, fixed and mobile telephony at the regiment. In the team, everyone needs to contribute within all areas of responsibility in G6, so you will gradually receive training in the team's other areas. Main Responsibilities for the Position:

  • Functionally lead the IT area within K 3.
  • Coordinate K 3's IT needs with the Armed Forces' telecommunications and information systems unit (FMTIS), which is the Armed Forces' internal IT and telephony provider.
  • Maintain documentation related to IT operations at the regiment, ensuring that rules and guidelines regarding the IT area are followed.
  • Oversee the implementation and integration of new IT systems at K 3.
  • Manage access administration, license, and software management.
  • Identify needs for and coordinate IT training.
  • Maintain and administer the regiment's needs for telephony and satellite communication services with FMTIS.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

  • IT education at least at the high school level or relevant work experience or knowledge and skills that the employer finds equivalent.
  • Good skills in planning and administering permissions in Windows (Active Directory, Outlook, SharePoint, etc.).
  • Driving license B (manual transmission).
  • Good ability to express oneself in speech and writing (Swedish and English).

Personal Qualities

The position of IT coordinator requires you to be analytical and able to work in a structured manner. You have good initiative, process understanding, and the ability to maintain and drive processes for the function's and regiment's development. We prefer that you can work independently but also value collaboration within the team and with other colleagues.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

DESIRABLE

  • Experience in qualified IT work.
  • Current or previous employment within the Armed Forces.
  • Experience with the Armed Forces' administrative support systems.
  • Completed military service.
  • University education in the IT field.

The Life Regiment Hussars, K 3, has fast and powerful units and a long experience in the intelligence field. K 3 trains a ranger battalion and an intelligence battalion. The ranger battalion is a unit with high mobility that should be able to be the first on site during an operation. The intelligence battalion delivers intelligence by using advanced technology, personnel on the ground, and unmanned aerial vehicles (RPAS).
