Job Description

At AFRY in Gothenburg and Varberg, we have a very high and broad competence in Industrial IT and Automation, specialized in ABB 800xA with about 20 automation engineers. We need to grow even more! 

The section consists of knowledgeable and engaged colleagues where experience and knowledge sharing is a strong part of the culture. We primarily work in project form and collaborate with colleagues in other geographies and technical areas. AFRY consists of a fantastic world of engineering competence across a wide range of fields. We are looking for an experienced system engineer with a DCS background. In addition to modernizing today's industry, we work with maintenance organizations and in all project phases from feasibility studies to implementation and support across various industries. For the right person, there are great opportunities for individual development.

You will work with system upgrades, system design, installation, and configuration of server-based automation systems (primarily ABB 800xA). Our project deliveries are made through expert services as well as complete functional or total commitments. For this position, we offer a flexible location.

Qualifications

In terms of experience, we believe you will recognize yourself in the following description:

• Engineer, technician, or equivalent with several years of experience in industry and automation, as well as solid competence in ABB 800xA at the system level.
• Experience with Windows technology, networks, and installations of DCS systems.
• Experience with virtualization (Esxi, HyperV).
• Experience with Cybersecurity.
• Holds a B driver's license as travel is a natural part of the job.
• Fluent in both Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

Desirable competencies:

• Knowledge/experience of NIS2.
• Knowledge of system hardening.
• Experience in application programming in 800xA.
• Experience with older ABB families such as Advant systems, Sattline, etc.
• Experience/certification in 800xA SHC/Advanced services.

The position may require you to work on our security-classified projects. This means that a security review will be conducted according to Swedish legislation on security protection. To meet the requirements, you need to hold a citizenship that complies with the provisions of the security protection regulations, and no obstacles should exist according to the criteria for security classification.
