In northern Dalarna, approximately 35,000 residents live alongside over 1,000 companies, as well as a large number of vacation homes and tourists, both in summer and winter, who require drinking water and sustainable waste management solutions. With a mission to promote 'a sustainable life - together', Nodava AB (Northern Dalarna Water & Waste) is a municipal company jointly owned by the municipalities of Mora, Orsa, and Älvdalen.

Nodava is in an exciting phase of development where systematic safety work has become a very important part of the organization’s achievement of the vision 'For a sustainable life - together'. As Nodava's safety coordinator, you will be a key person in quality assurance and the continued development of the company's safety and fire protection work. The assignment is independent but will be carried out in close collaboration with the security protection manager, CEO, managers, business developers, and the counterparts in the owner municipalities.

Your tasks

• Coordinate, quality assure, and follow up on Nodava's security protection work, crisis preparedness, and fire protection work in accordance with applicable legislation and regulations.
• Develop and ensure governing documents and action plans with routines, instructions, and distribution of responsibilities.
• Coordinate the company's work with security protection analysis, security protection plans, and information security.
• Conduct investigations with security clearance interviews and requests for background checks, as well as provide support in the company's recruitment process regarding security clearance issues.
• Promote a high security culture within the company and identify the need for competence development in security, crisis preparedness, and fire protection, as well as plan and conduct exercises and training.
• Provide internal consultative support within the operational area to the CEO, managers, and relevant functions.
• Collaborate with the owner municipalities' security functions on issues important to the owner companies.
• Represent Nodava in relevant networks and in contacts with businesses, authorities, and organizations based on the area of responsibility.

Your profile

We are looking for someone with relevant education in security protection or equivalent knowledge acquired in other ways. You have good knowledge of laws and regulations regarding security protection and fire protection, and preferably experience in strategic security protection work. We also appreciate knowledge of information security and high digital competence. Understanding of operations within water and waste management and knowledge of the political decision-making process are advantageous.

The assignment requires a holistic view combined with a strategic approach, with the ability to weigh complex information and various considerations. You have a structured working method, and if you have experience leading and driving change or development work, it is an asset. You enjoy collaborating with others and have a good understanding of how people absorb knowledge based on their different circumstances, and in pressured situations, you are stable and realistic with the ability to see things from different perspectives. The execution of the assignment should create good conditions for systematic analysis, increased awareness, and continuous learning within the organization. Therefore, pedagogical insight and a very good ability to communicate clearly, well-formulated, and engagingly, both verbally and in writing, are required. You ensure that messages are conveyed and that expectations are clear for all parties involved.

As the position involves travel within Mora, Orsa, and Älvdalen, a B driver's license is required.

The position is classified in accordance with the Security Protection Act. A successful security clearance with a background check is a requirement before employment.

Your workplace will be in Nodava's premises in Orsa. The work is full-time. The position is a permanent employment with immediate start according to agreement.
