We offer a secure workplace with good employment conditions and benefits. Our core values are respect, commitment, and sustainability.

Join us in strengthening security in critical operations

Do you want to work with security issues that truly make a difference? Borlänge Energi is now looking for a security coordinator who wants to take a central role in developing our overall security work. With us, you contribute to a safe and robust energy supply - a cornerstone of a sustainable society.

As a security coordinator, you will be a key person in our security team and work broadly with information security, physical security, and personnel security. You have overall responsibility for translating legal requirements and standards into practical and value-creating security work throughout the organization.

The role suits you who want to combine analysis, operational implementation, strategic advice, and who is motivated to drive security issues forward in an organization focused on development and continuous improvement.

Your main responsibilities

In the role, you will among other things:

  • Lead and coordinate the operational security work within your area of responsibility
  • Develop, implement, and manage governing documents such as strategies, policies, and guidelines
  • Conduct risk and vulnerability analyses and follow up on risks and measures
  • Ensure compliance with laws, requirements, and standards such as NIS2/CSL, GDPR, and ISO 27001, including internal audits
  • Be responsible for incident management - from analysis and investigation to reporting and follow-up
  • Strengthen security awareness through training, advice, and support to managers and employees
  • Set and follow up security requirements in procurement, system development, changes, and in supplier agreements
  • Coordinate contacts with relevant authorities
  • Report security status, risks, and status to management
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of the management system according to current ISO standards

Who are you?

You are a confident, engaged, professional person who truly wants to make a difference in a critical operation. You have a holistic perspective on security and thrive in a role where you can combine structure, analysis, and practical implementation with collaboration and advice.

You work proactively and independently with the ability to identify risks, see connections, and translate regulations and requirements into concrete and operationally adapted solutions. At the same time, you have a pragmatic approach and understand the importance of balancing security, operational benefit, and efficiency.

In meetings with others, you are communicative, attentive, and pedagogical. You easily create trust and engagement around security issues and can adapt your message to different target groups - from technical specialists to managers and executives. You dare to challenge when necessary but do so with respect, clarity, and a focus on solutions.

You thrive in a role with responsibility and variety where you both drive issues forward and serve as a support to the organization. With integrity, good judgment, and a structured approach, you contribute to developing a strong, sustainable, and modern security culture.

We believe you have:

  • Relevant university education in security, IT, technology, or equivalent experience that we assess as equivalent
  • Experience in systematic security work, including risk and incident management
  • Good knowledge of NIS2/CSL, GDPR, and relevant ISO standards
  • Ability to combine analysis, advice, training, and operational work
  • A clear and trust-building communication style

As a person, you are structured, proactive, and confident in your professional role. You quickly build good relationships, maintain calm even when the pace is high, and see change as an opportunity for improvement and development.

Why Borlänge Energi

With us, you get to work in a critical operation with a clear sustainability focus, engaged colleagues, and the opportunity to make an impact.
