We are currently looking for a substitute for Mora swimming hall, a facility that focuses on the guest and offers activities that contribute to a safe and active life.

The position is temporary during the absence of regular staff.

Recruitment is ongoing, and interviews may therefore take place during the application period.

Responsibilities

You will work with all tasks that occur in a swimming hall, such as cleaning, maintenance and supervision of swimming areas, water purification, and cashier duties. You should also be able to intervene in situations that may arise in the swimming hall. Additionally, you will lead group activities such as swimming lessons and water training. Swimming instruction is provided not only for the general public but also for the municipality's primary schools.

An important part of the job is to provide a good reception with excellent service and high safety for our bathers.

The working hours are scheduled, including days, evenings, and weekends.

Qualifications

We prefer candidates with experience in swimming halls or cashier and reception services. Training as a swimming instructor and/or water training instructor is considered an asset.

As a person, you have good communication and collaboration skills, are flexible, and enjoy practical work. You possess good leadership qualities, have good knowledge of Swedish, and are service-oriented and meticulous. Since we offer a varied and free work environment, you need to take responsibility and be good at structuring and planning your work.

Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability. We will request a criminal record extract for work with children. It is also a requirement that you pass our swimming and lifeguard test.

Recreation Unit

The Recreation Unit is part of the culture and recreation administration and consists of the swimming hall, youth center, and the Recreation Bank. The unit is also responsible for association dialogue, association grants, and other association services such as booking sports and recreational facilities and lottery management. The Recreation Unit consists of about 15 employees and is led by a unit manager who reports to the head of administration.

The youth center is located in the Rosa House together with the Miranda culture school and is open to young people aged 13-20. Here you will find rehearsal rooms, a café, gallery, studio, billiard tables, air hockey, parkour, basketball, street culture, etc. The activities are based on young people's participation and influence, allowing them to run projects with the help of the house's coaches.

Mora swimming hall is located on Prästholmen within walking distance from Mora center. The swimming hall offers residents, associations, and visitors opportunities for swimming lessons and swimming activities, association and competition activities, exercise groups, care activities, water aerobics, and diving activities. The facility includes a 25-meter pool with six lanes and a separate diving pool with 1 meter and 3 meters springboards. There is also a teaching pool, hot tub, gym, solariums, dry and wet saunas, conference rooms, and a cafeteria with service.

The Recreation Bank Mora, located in the old fire station, is like a library but for sports and outdoor equipment. Here you can borrow equipment for a more active leisure time free of charge.
