About the job
We are looking for someone who wants an exciting and developing job in support functions.
As a support assistant with us, you will have a varied job that includes many contact points. The goal is for the resident to be able to create their own home and live a life on their own terms based on their own conditions. The day should be understandable for the individual, where structure, clarity, and security are cornerstones. For us, respect for people's self-determination and integrity is the foundation of our work.
Residential adults LSS 3 currently consists of two group homes and a service residence. These operations are governed by the Act on Special Support and Service and exist within Lidköping Municipality. Our residents have disabilities of varying degrees, intellectual disabilities, and developmental psychological disabilities such as ADHD/Autism. As an employee with us, work can take place in more than one residence as we guarantee all employees full-time work.
Job responsibilities
As a support assistant with us, you provide care and social support based on the individual needs and wishes of the resident. This may include social and physical activities, both individually and in groups. In your work, you assist residents with health and medical interventions as well as rehabilitative interventions as prescribed by a nurse, physiotherapist, and occupational therapist.
Case management is part of your work, meaning you have a special responsibility for one or more individuals. You help create good relationships with colleagues, users, and relatives. Your work also includes ongoing documentation and responsibility for establishing, following up, and revising implementation plans.
Working hours are during the day, evenings, weekends, and sleeping on-call. You will coordinate with other units.
Who are you?
We are looking for someone who takes responsibility for their work tasks with the resident's best interests in focus and who is keen to complete the work they have started. As a person, you have the ability to take initiative and create trusting relationships based on care and empathy. You work independently and have good collaboration skills as you actively participate in teamwork.
You should be able to quickly adapt to different circumstances and meet the situations that may arise. Together with your colleagues, you will develop the educational work based on the users' implementation plans and activity descriptions.
Requirements:
- Approved grades from one of the following programs - Child and Leisure Program with a focus on social work, Leisure Leader Education with a focus and/or experience in working within support functions or Health and Care Program
- Proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written, as well as good reading comprehension
- Basic digital competence
- Driver's license for manual transmission
Meritorious:
- Health and Care College diploma.
- Experience with a low-arousal working method
- Experience in similar work
- Experience in documentation.
Other
In our operations, everyone who is to be employed to work within support functions must, according to law (2010:479), present an extract from the criminal record for the hiring manager. The form to be used can be downloaded from the police (https://polisen.se/tjanster-tillstand/belastningsregistret/barn-med-funktionsnedsattning/blanketter---barn-med-funktionsnedsattning/). It usually takes 1-2 weeks to receive it by mail, and it must be shown before employment to the hiring manager.
You will work scheduled hours such as days, evenings, weekends, and sleeping on-call. The position is a permanent employment at 100% with the possibility of a desired employment rate.
Your employment will be within the Social Welfare Sector of Lidköping Municipality, which means you may work in other units.
We apply a probationary period of 6 months.
