Temporary Custodians Wanted for the Staffing Unit

We are now looking for temporary custodians for the Staffing Unit at the County Hospital in Kalmar.

We offer you a position in our Staffing Unit where you will be booked for work as needed for short- and long-term substitutes. Our custodians work and plan daily for all internal transports, from goods reception to the transport of goods, samples, patients, and more. Waste management, fluid management, and deliveries of medical and technical gases are also part of the job.

The Logistics base unit is responsible for the entire Region Kalmar County's material supply, which includes, among other things, ordering, delivery monitoring, inventory management, internal transports, and picking up medical supplies, textiles, and aids. We handle medications that can help save lives, as well as medical supplies, textiles, and aids that can enhance the quality of life and hospital stays for our residents.

About You

You are service-oriented and have good collaboration skills. In the role of custodian at the hospital, you meet many people in various contexts, making it essential to have a good attitude towards both colleagues and patients, as well as other staff within the region. You have a three-year upper secondary education or other experience that the employer deems equivalent. We prefer that you have a B driver's license. We place great importance on the ability to communicate and collaborate with people. Working within the Staffing Unit requires high flexibility.

The Staffing Unit's mission is to cover for short-term absences and work peaks for the County Hospital Kalmar, Regional Services, and Primary Care in southern Kalmar County, including Öland. Through good customer relations and systematic dialogues, we take into account employees' competencies when the customer's needs arise.

A total of over 30 employees work in the Staffing Unit, including nurses, nursing assistants, medical secretaries, custodians, and warehouse workers. The County Hospital in Kalmar is one of three hospitals in Kalmar County. The hospital is an emergency hospital with specialist care, maternity care, and postnatal care. Over 2300 people work here to provide good care and high patient safety for the county's residents.
