Ljunghäll is one of Europe's leading companies in die casting and the largest die casting foundry in Sweden. We are now looking for a Melting and Furnace Technician/Maintenance Technician for our melting department, a key function in our manufacturing chain.
About the position
The melting department is crucial for the production in our factory to function, as it is this unit that supplies all of Ljunghäll's foundry departments with molten aluminum. The workgroup consists of about 35 employees and is led by a supervisor.
As a melting and furnace technician, you will work with preventive maintenance and urgent repairs of our furnace equipment, both in the melting plant and in the foundry halls. The workday is varied, and you are an important part of a team that ensures our production can continue without interruption.
The job also involves operating a remote-controlled robotic machine to remove slag from our melting furnaces. If needed, you may also support as a melting operator or forklift driver for metal transports to the casting machines.
We are looking for someone who…
…has a solid technical background and thrives in a practical and dynamic environment. We prefer that you have:
- At least a high school education in electrical engineering, industry, or equivalent, along with a couple of years of experience working as an electrician, maintenance technician, or mechanic, preferably in industry
- Good mechanical skills
- Training or at least 2 years of experience in MIG/MAG welding
- Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
- Good computer skills and knowledge of the Office suite
- Driver's license B

About the employment...
The position is a permanent employment, with an initial 6-month fixed-term contract. It is a full-time position with a 2-shift schedule.
Placement is at Ljunghäll in Södra Vi, and travel in the job may occur.
