Vehicle Inspector in Public Transport

Do you want to contribute to improved quality and increased customer satisfaction in public transport in Kalmar County? As a vehicle inspector, you are a key person who ensures good quality for our travelers through careful inspections of the more than 500 vehicles that perform public transport as well as transport services and medical trips.

The role of the vehicle inspector involves traveling around the geography of Kalmar County to meet drivers and vehicles in traffic and at vehicle depots.

In the coming years, there will be a transition to new agreements with partially new transport companies, which means that new working methods need to be developed. In the long term, the work with contract follow-up will evolve so that quality controls will also be partially carried out with the help of system support and in collaboration with the transport companies' self-checks.

About You

We are looking for someone with at least a high school education and experience in the public transport industry as a driver or in vehicle-related work. Experience in quality work, safety work, and environmental issues within the industry is considered an advantage. A valid B driver's license is required for the position, while a D driver's license is seen as an asset. Proficiency in computer use and the Office suite is required for the position.

We place great emphasis on your personal qualities as the interaction with drivers and representatives of the contracted transport companies is crucial. It is important that you have good collaboration skills and high social competence.

In this position, you will travel around the geography of Kalmar County and you will be based at Kalmar County Traffic's headquarters in Högsby. Work is mainly performed during daytime on weekdays, but since transport is conducted around the clock, other hours may also occur.
