We are looking for a janitor to join our team at AniCura Kalmarsund.  This position is suitable for you who have a strong sense of service, previous experience in property maintenance, and who want to contribute to a safe and welcoming environment for employees, animals, and their owners.  

About the job 

AniCura Kalmarsund consists of Kalmarsund Animal Hospital and our clinics located in Borgholm, Nättraby, Högsby, and Läckeby.  The janitor position is based at Kalmarsund Animal Hospital but also involves travel to our clinics. AniCura Kalmarsund is a leader in high-quality veterinary care for companion animals. About 100 employees work here, and together we are passionate about providing the best care and service to our clients and patients.  

At AniCura Kalmarsund Animal Hospital, we offer services in emergency care, neurology, surgery, orthopedics, ophthalmology, imaging diagnostics, and medical investigations. We are a referral center where we receive patients referred from other animal clinics and animal hospitals. The emergency department of the animal hospital is open every day of the year from 08:00 to 22:00, and we care for patients in our care department around the clock. 

As a janitor, you will work together with a colleague in the janitorial team: 

Perform ongoing maintenance and some cleaning of our premises 

Carry out tasks related to the outdoor environment, such as lawn mowing, some snow removal, watering, and weeding 

Ensure that equipment and materials are in good condition 

Prioritize and identify what needs to be done to ensure an efficient work environment 

Collaborate with our team to create a safe and clean environment for our animals and their owners 

The janitorial team is a central and important support function for our employees, enabling us to help as many patients and clients as possible. 

Working hours are scheduled on weekdays during the day. The position is a permanent part-time position of 50% that begins with a probationary period. 

Who are you? 

We are looking for someone who has drive and commitment in their work, is handy and solution-oriented. We believe you have a positive attitude and find it easy to work both independently and collaboratively with others. You work proactively and have an eye for what needs to be done. You have a good ability to prioritize your tasks and are passionate about providing top-class service. 

Qualifications:  

You have documented previous experience in property maintenance and hold a B driver's license. It is an advantage to have training in property maintenance, hot work, height training, and brush cutter certification.
