The Swedish Agency for Accessible Media (MTM) is looking for a new Director General
The Swedish Agency for Accessible Media (MTM) has the task of ensuring that everyone has access to literature, news, and societal information based on their individual circumstances, regardless of reading ability or disability. This is done, for example, by producing accessible literature, disseminating information about accessible media, and promoting and following technological development and research within the agency's area. The agency also offers complementary societal information to individuals with disabilities in the form of reading difficulties.
The agency is led by a Director General. There is an advisory board at the agency that includes the Director General.
MTM is based in Malmö and has 85 employees.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who is a proven good manager and leader with:
- knowledge of public administration and its decision-making processes,
- understanding of the political structure within which the agency operates,
- an academic degree or equivalent,
- excellent knowledge of Swedish and English.
You should also have the ability to:
- lead and develop an organization with complex and knowledge-intensive operations within the framework of a good administrative culture,
- represent the agency and communicate its tasks clearly and credibly both internally and externally, nationally and internationally,
- collaborate, build networks, and foster as well as create trust and good relationships with relevant stakeholders, both industry and the public, nationally and internationally,
- be proactive and results-oriented,
- engage, inspire, and motivate employees,
- represent employer interests and, together with other agency heads, develop public employer policies,
- work strategically with competence supply.
It is advantageous if you have:
- good knowledge and networks within the agency's area of responsibility,
- experience as a manager leading strategic change and development work,
- knowledge of and interest in the agency's subject matters or related areas,
- experience in public management and leadership.

You must be a Swedish citizen to be appointed Director General and head of the Swedish Agency for Accessible Media.

Salaries are individual and determined based on the requirements of the position and the qualifications and experiences of the manager. Most agency heads are employed for a fixed term – normally, the first employment period is six years.
