JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As an employee in Disability Services, your tasks may vary depending on the workplace. Central to the work is providing support, service, and care to individuals with disabilities. The fundamental idea is that everyone should have the opportunity to live on equal terms - regardless of disability.

  • As a support assistant, you will work in a group home or service housing in the municipality. Tasks may include care, health and medical duties, household chores, community escorting, and support for leisure activities both at home and outside the residence.
  • A short-term accommodation aims to offer leisure activities while providing parents with relief. The target group here is primarily children and young adults.
  • As a personal assistant, you work in the individual's own home based on their needs and wishes. Here, the work involves both care and enabling participation in community life.
  • Housing supporters work within social psychiatry, either in a residence or in the individual's own home. The work aims to motivate independence and strengthen the person's ability to structure their daily life.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in working with people. Respect for each person's needs and wishes, along with attentiveness and empathy, are important qualities. It is highly meritorious if you have ongoing or completed education in health and care. It is also advantageous if you have previously worked with people in any capacity.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Our vacation periods are between weeks 25-34, and this is when we need staff. There are good opportunities to start working as a substitute before the summer.

We will arrange a training day that you need to attend if you work in any of our units. The trainings held include fire training, rehabilitation information, and operational information.

References will be taken directly after the phone interview, and the guidelines we have for references are that they need to be individuals who have held a leading position towards you, such as a supervisor, mentor, or manager. References must also be from the last two years. We do not accept colleagues, friends, or family members as references.
