Are you in your first year of a master’s program in mechatronics, electronics, control engineering, or a related field and looking for a rewarding job alongside your studies? We are now seeking a driven student for our client who works in functional safety, with the opportunity for both a thesis project and a full-time position after graduation!

Friday is looking for a student who wants to work part-time up to 40% as an Embedded Developer starting at the turn of the year. Our client is a world-leading automotive safety supplier that develops, manufactures, and sells cutting-edge safety systems for vehicles. The team you will join works on innovative products and safety systems that are not yet on the market, where you will play a key role.

In this position, you will work with embedded development by supporting system architects with requirements specifications, administration, and software development in C/C++, as well as participating in vehicle testing. The systems are used in various areas, particularly as protection systems in vehicles. The team currently consists of about ten people, and you will become an important part of the development moving forward. The goal of the position is both the opportunity for a thesis project, which you will help shape, and the possibility of a full-time position after graduation.

• Is in the first year of a master’s program at a university in mechatronics, electronics, engineering physics, control engineering, or a related field and plans to graduate in 2027.
• Has basic knowledge of C/C++, Python, and Linux.
• Has technical hobby projects alongside studies.
• Can work approximately 10-20 hours a week.
• Is fluent in English and Swedish in both spoken and written form, as these languages are used internally and externally.
• Has a B driver's license.

It is not a requirement, but it is advantageous if you:

• Have knowledge of Simulink and/or CAN.

This is a consulting assignment, which means you will be employed by Friday.
