Biomedical Analyst at Clinical Chemistry and Transfusion Medicine Southern Hälsingland

At Clinical Chemistry and Transfusion Medicine Southern Hälsingland, we are 25 employees who together are responsible for blood donation as well as handling and analyzing samples. We have a close collaboration with other units within laboratory medicine, which contributes to valuable knowledge exchange. Our workgroup consists of biomedical analysts, laboratory assistants, and nursing assistants. We are a friendly and wonderful team that always focuses on the blood donor and the patient. Our operations aim to provide high-quality analyses and decision support to health and medical care and to meet the needs of the care for blood components.

Location: Bollnäs, but work may also be conducted in Söderhamn.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Our tasks at the blood center include, among other things, donor care, blood donation, and administrative work.

As a biomedical analyst with us, you will work with:

• approving new blood donors for donation
• performing blood donation
• calling donors
• participating in improvement/development work
• managing the blood donor email
• customer service at the blood center.

QUALIFICATIONS

It is desirable that you possess social competence, are kind, and a good communicator. You appreciate working and collaborating with others. You have the ability to meet people with a service mindset in a professional and empathetic way. You have a good ability to work independently.

In the role of biomedical analyst, you should:

• be a licensed biomedical analyst
• have good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form as the tasks involve documentation and communication with blood donors and colleagues.
