About VFF Pension Service Pension Association

VFF Pension manages and administers traditional pension insurance for over 113,000 employees/former employees within the Volvo Group and Volvo Cars, as well as certain companies that were previously part of these groups or are affiliated companies.

The business operates on mutual principles, which means that surpluses are returned to the insured. The managed capital amounts to approximately 13 billion SEK.

VFF Pension's goal is to offer a stable, responsible, and sustainable return, high customer satisfaction, and to be a responsible, sustainable, and efficient organization.

VFF Pension currently consists of 14 employees and we have our office at Lindholmen.

IT Department

The IT department, which currently consists of 3 people, is now looking for someone who wants to work with the development and management of VFF Pension's in-house developed insurance system. The work is conducted within the framework of DevSecOps with the support of our operations partner Volvo IT.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Web development in Java, JSP, Maven
• Database management using SQL. Currently, Oracle is used.
• Work according to a Scrum-based process in GitHub and VS Code
• Management and new development of VFF Pension's own insurance system
• Deployment and monitoring of applications and servers
• Vulnerability analysis of servers and code (SCA/SAST)
• Ongoing contact with our partners, primarily Volvo IT and HCL
• Internal IT support within the organization
• Monitor and evaluate existing and new technologies within IT
• Participate in and drive various projects

Suitable Background

• Relevant academic degree
• At least a few years of work experience
• You have a good knowledge and understanding of the development and management of systems based on Java and Maven.
• Experience with database integration via SQL and JDBC
• Experience working in both Windows and RedHat Linux environments

Basic knowledge of Spring and/or experience with database migration from Oracle to PostgreSQL is a merit.
