About the position

We are looking for a preschool teacher for Rubinen, our department for children in need of special support. At Rubinen, you will work together with three colleagues to design an education tailored to the individual needs of the children and the dynamics of the group, in line with the goals of lpfö18. The work is carried out at both individual and group levels and is based on a project-oriented approach. We constantly strive to improve and develop our learning environments to support the children's needs and learning. Through the project-oriented approach, we take advantage of the children's influence and create participation for both children and guardians. At the same time, we actively work to build trusting relationships that contribute to a safe and stimulating learning environment.

Many of the children at Rubinen are in contact with external actors, such as habilitation services, and in close collaboration with guardians, work teams, and special educators, individual goals are formulated that are continuously followed up and evaluated. Several of the children receive support from habilitation services in the form of MII, previously known as IBT.

At Rubinen, there can be a maximum of ten children enrolled, but it is the collective needs of the children that determine how many are enrolled. This is decided in consultation with the principal, special educator, and work team. The children's diagnoses and needs for special support vary, and therefore it is a requirement that you have experience working with children in need of support.

The work team at Rubinen receives continuous supervision, and you as a preschool teacher will also receive individual supervision from a special educator. There is also the possibility of supervision from the municipal psychologist.

Work with clarifying pedagogy, AAC, and sign language is integrated into daily education and is continuously developed based on the children's needs.

As a preschool teacher at Rubinen, you are expected to:

• be responsible for leading, organizing, planning, and implementing education
• ensure that the education is documented, followed up, analyzed, and developed
• use methods and approaches in education that are based on scientific principles and proven experience
• ensure that each individual child and the group have their needs met, based on a democratic approach grounded in our governing documents
• provide a good environment for care, development, play, and learning
• be responsible for the content, design, and implementation of development talks
• additionally, you will also be responsible for ensuring that the children's individual goals are followed up and evaluated

About the workplace

Ädelstenens preschool is located in Lundby and is easily accessible by city bus. It is a preschool with four departments, which in addition to Rubinen has two departments for the youngest children and one department for the oldest.

The preschool has large spacious premises and two large playgrounds with both play equipment and natural/forest environments. In the surrounding area, there are both forests, playgrounds, football fields, and a library that are regularly visited.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is confident and stable in their role as a preschool teacher. You are responsible and have a good ability to structure, plan, and organize work effectively; both individually and together with colleagues. As a person, you are attentive and have an easy time collaborating with others. You have a good attitude and communicate from a solution-focused perspective in every meeting with colleagues, children, and guardians. You have a good understanding of people's differences and meet each child based on their conditions and needs. As a person, you are driven and contribute with a solution-focused mindset, where you both independently and together with the work team develop the operations forward. You have a flexible approach and can easily adapt to changing circumstances.

Furthermore, you master the Swedish language in a way that allows you to communicate with children, relatives, and other staff, as well as document what the operations require in writing. Since the work involves digital documentation, good computer skills are also required.

Requirements

• licensed preschool teacher, or hold a qualification that entitles you to a license
• experience working in a group of children
• experience working with children in need of special support

Meritorious

• basic training in Guiding Interaction (ICDP)
• training in AAC and sign language
• experience with children in need of medical support
• training in special education or working with children with special needs

A preschool teacher license must be attached to the application along with a list of qualifications, or alternatively a diploma that entitles you to a license.
