Our surgical department is part of the Vascular and Thoracic Operations area and has about 40 employees consisting of nursing assistants, surgical nurses, anesthetic nurses, and perfusionists. Thoracic surgery includes open heart surgery, lung surgery, and arrhythmia surgery. Vascular surgery includes both open and endovascular procedures. This means that the work varies from advanced perioperative care with technology-intensive equipment to shorter procedures performed under local anesthesia. Elective surgery is conducted on weekdays, but there is a continuous influx of emergency patients who need our help around the clock.

We welcome you who are a trained nursing assistant, preferably with a focus on emergency care according to the previous program structure, or are a trained nursing assistant within the current program structure. To assess employability, transcripts of your healthcare education and proof from the National Board of Health and Welfare of a protected professional title must be attached to your application.

Several years of experience as a nursing assistant in a surgical department is an advantage.

You enjoy working in a team, and great emphasis will be placed on collaboration skills, flexibility, and personal suitability. You are engaged, responsible, structured, and thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
