Executive Secretary to the Staff Department

About the Department

The Staff Department (J0) works with management and staff support in areas such as command, traditions, ceremonies, and communication. The department consists of a department head, executive secretary, operations officer, communications manager, and communicator. The work within the department is broad and varied.

Main Responsibilities

As an executive secretary, you will work as a coordinator for the commander, planning the calendar of the Northern Military Region with meetings, visits, and travels. You need to be proactive and detail-oriented while also seeing the bigger picture. The role involves extensive contact both within the Armed Forces and with civilian authorities and organizations. It also means building trustful relationships internally and externally. You will provide support to management in both administrative and practical tasks. It is important that you take initiative and have a high work capacity; to succeed in this role, you should be unpretentious and flexible, with the ability to switch between strategic and operational work.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

  • High school diploma with passing grades
  • Relevant experience in an administrative role
  • Driver's license B
  • Good computer skills and proficiency in the Office suite

Employment type: Permanent. The Armed Forces applies a six-month probationary period for those who are not employed by the agency.
Employment rate: Full-time.
Work location: Boden.
Civilian position.
Business trips within the region as well as evening and weekend work may occur.
Start date: By agreement.

Information about the Armed Forces and the recruiting unit:

The Northern Military Region (MR N) is responsible for territorial command in the four northern counties.

The region consists of a staff and five training groups. Operations extend from Kiruna in the north to Härnösand in the south. At MR N, there are seven home guard battalions and several support functions.
